We gave up on researching in samsquanch areas long ago. The funerals cost too much.

That what-if makes some sweeping generalizations about Winnipeg that are simply untrue. However this last one is:

Sounds like the perfect place to conduct a double-blind experiment on the survivability of untrained human beings in the wild.
The scientists think that they’re conducting an experiment into global warming and ice melting, but really there’s another cadre of scientists keeping track on whether they get eaten or not.
And unbeknownst to them, there’s yet another cadre of scientists keeping track of the 2nd lot of scientists’ core body temperatures...
Very efficient :)

It’s much better odds if the experiment is about hupothermia or wolves.

I sent that to my girlfriend (who’s from Winnipeg). She didn’t appreciate it.

Considering WInnipeg’s theme song is “I hate Winnipeg” I question whether or not she’s actually “from” Winnipeg.
I don’t know anyone in Winnipeg who lives in Winnipeg for any other reason than they have friends or family or they’re going to school in Winnipeg.

Well, Selkirk. Most people have no clue where that is, so I leave at Winnipeg. I should have probably just gone with that, since you of all people would know.

Yeah. Selkirk Winnipeg. Actually I think I knew that. You may have mentioned it a long ass time ago. Although I had Gimli in my head not Selkirk. ¯\_()_/¯

Her family is up in Winnipeg Beach now, which is just south of Gimli, so that could be why. I did mention it a long ass time ago, because I remember you asking why the hell I was going to Manitoba.
I miss Manitoba.

It’s stupid. This place sucks. I wanted to get out of it so bad growing up. And I did, but then I ended up back here. There’s literally nothing here. But that’s the beauty of it and why there’s so much here. As I’m hastily packing up my life to get out of here, I’m genuinely sad to be leaving.

I hear you. Growing up in Toronto, I hate it here. I miss Ottawa (if you get a chance to live there, do it), and I’m definitely looking forward to hopefully moving this summer.
